D-Sign

This short film from 2008, by mOOniQ in collaboration with Sander Strick en Arnoud Rigter, sketches the beginning of the creative identity for Eindhoven, design capitol of The Netherlands. The recordings, from the year 1968, show futurologist Herr Doktor D make predictions about Eindhoven on technology, design and internationalisation.

The controversial ruling “Eindhoven, the navel of the World” originates from this.

This video was presented during the Dutch Design Week 2008 to 40 representatives from European cities within the framework of a conference in preparation for the European year for Creativity & Innovation 2009.
