Wouter Tulp is an illustrator from the Netherlands. He attended the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam. Since his graduation in 2001 he has been making a living as an illustrator.

Working as a caricatiurist, an editorial illustrator, a children’s book illustrator as well as participating in animation projects, his work shows a great diversity. Working so diversely, Wouter developed many techniques, such as gouache, acrylic, ink, oils, an digital media.

Wouter’s caricatures are published in many authorative magazines and newspapers in the Netherlands, like HP/deTijd, Algemeen Dagblad, Het Financieele Dagblad and many more. Some of his caricature designs were used in the VARA tv-series “Cafe de wereld”:

Only a few illustrators truly master different styles. Wouter Tulp is one of them I think. His caricature painting of the Beatles was featured in the Communication Arts Illustration Annual #46. Not bad for a Dutchy! ;)
