The works of Richard Hutten
Richard Hutten graduated at the Academy Industrial Design Eindhoven in 1991. This is also the same year he started his own designstudio. His works are a variety of projects such as: furniture-, product-, interior- and exhibition design.
He is one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers. He’s also a key exponent of “Droog Design“, in which he has been involved since it’s inception in 1993.

Richard broke through with his quirky and playful ‘No sign of design’ concepts and ‘Table upon table’. His seat S(h)it on it (a bench in the shape of a swastika) was designed against fascism, but was misunderstood in Bremen and scratched. His table in the shape of a cross also caused some negative reactions.

His clear and often humorous designs made him famous in Asia (Japan and Korea). This year in Seoul, an acadamy will be named after Hutten. Hutten is seen internationally as one of the leading designers of this moment.
