Woofers by Sander Mulder
Sander Mulder started studying design in 1996, sparked by the creativity and ingenuity he displayed as a child. It soon hit home; this would become his life long passion. His successful graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2002, resulted in the start-up of his own design studio.

Always seeking new challenges and inspirations he has since then steadily been working on a diverse portfolio containing lighting, furniture and interior designs for international clients and his own collection. His work is proof of the firm believe that good concepts can only exist in symbiosis with a good execution, and it investigates new ways of approaching the construction, functionality and aesthetics of everyday objects and spaces.
Supported by the believe there’s no constant except change and that joy is the accelerator of creativity, he’s not afraid to wander aimlessly and conduct experiments in search of the coincidental beauty of failure. The resulting work is a combination of strong lines, subtle details, innovative techniques and bold statements, often questioning archetypes and their respective interpretations by mankind.
A great example of this is Woofers. This ‘Woofer’ speaker system is a cross-over between an addition to your sound system and your loyal four-footed companion. It’s available as a co-axial speaker system which consists of two dogs. The ‘Woofer’ speaker system contains custom engineered electronic filters and sounds remarkably well compared to your everyday speaker set.
